Aquila Farm: A Holistic Haven for Horses

Originally featured on Stable Style in 2018, Aquila Farm is a contemporary equestrian estate designed to exist in harmony with its natural surroundings. Situated in the quiet countryside of Belgium, it is defined by its striking curved roof and understated material palette. The barn blends seamlessly into the landscape, reflecting a philosophy that places equal importance on thoughtful design and equine well-being. The sweeping roof, finished with a living green roof planted with vegetation is a sustainable design meant to soften the building’s presence while connecting it to its environment.

The barn was envisioned by Belgian interior designer Lionel Jadot. Although it was his first equestrian project, Jadot approached the design with a fresh perspective, creating a space where architecture and functionality coexist in perfect balance. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure the facility served both the practical needs of a working stable and the comfort of its equine residents.

Inside, the 16-stall barn is centered around openness and social interaction.

Each stall is paired with a private paddock, allowing horses seamless access to the outdoors, while intentionally open partitions between stalls encourage visual contact and companionship.

Complementing the barn is a thoughtfully designed Paddock Paradise system that accommodates up to 10 horses, supporting movement and natural herd behavior.

Equine Rehabilitation

Specializing in equine rehabilitation, Aquila Farm focuses on strict medical protocols and resolving complex behavioral issues by diagnosing and treating the underlying physical injuries.

Aquila’s 360° Elite Pro Team includes a fully coordinated network of on-site experts—including veterinarians, farriers, osteopaths, saddle fitters, and dedicated physiotherapists for both horse and rider.

Aquila offers Pro Performance Residencies which are tailored high-performance stays ranging from one day to a full week for international riders looking to solve specific training bottlenecks with our entire expert team.

Lounge & Indoor Arena

The property features a spacious indoor arena with an inviting owners’ lounge overlooking the arena below, providing a comfortable vantage point for riders and guests alike.

Outdoors, a generous riding arena and equine treadmill further enhance the facility’s comprehensive training amenities.

Aquila’s world-class facilities include premium open-concept social barns, state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor arenas, a dedicated gallop track, cross-country course, and expansive grass turnouts.
