Cox Architecture designed Willinga Park’s three main structures; an equestrian center, covered arena and polo cross pavilion. Each building considers its site, size and materials to create a cohesive harmony throughout the facility.
The equestrian area’s architecture is captivating, but the latest equine technology provides horses and humans with the ultimate care and amenities. Willinga Park has a covered arena, outdoor training arena, Grand Prix Arena, Grand Prix Warm-Up arena, polocrosse field, camp draft arena, covered round pen, luxury 32-stall stables, 200-stall event stables, 50 outdoor sun pens, solar heated training pool, pastures and more.
Luxury Stables
There are 32 stalls divided among two barns next to the Grand Prix Arena. Each stall has a cushioned rubber surface to reduce shaving consumption, automatic waterers, misters during hot weather, plus hay and grain bins which can be accessed from the exterior.
The beautiful building design allows plenty of natural light and ventilation to pass through the stalls.

Covered Arena
The covered arena is 70m x 30m with a sand and fibre Ebb and Flow surface system. Ebb and Flow surfaces allow firmness adjustments by increasing or decreasing water in the sub-base of the arena, making it easy to adjust the footing depending on the discipline. The arena has seating for 600 spectators, two VIP boxes with close proximity to the cafe and kitchen.
