Welcome to Wolfshoeve, a modern dressage and breeding facility in harmony with nature.

Nestled into the natural slope of the surrounding landscape, this ultra-modern equestrian facility rises across two levels with striking architectural precision. The van der Horst family, lifelong riding enthusiasts, have crafted more than a stable in Noord Brabant—they’ve created Wolfshoeve, a sanctuary where contemporary design meets tradition. Here, breeding, training, and competition unfold in harmony.

A standout feature of the building’s design is the vertical integration of function: stables below, indoor arena above—connected by a sloped ramp. The elevated arena, with its angular L-shape, allows simultaneous training or warm-up. Next to this is a restaurant, positioned for optimal viewing, where visitors are treated to a view of horses in motion.

“My grandmother bought this facility many years ago,” recalls Dominique D’Hoore-van der Horst, who is a successful dressage rider up to international Grand Prix level. “Eventually we were offered the chance to acquire the neighboring riding school and create an entire training center. Here we were able to make our dreams come true – my husband and I live together with my parents and our children, we combine breeding with sport, can organize competitions and offer training sessions.”

The facility’s two-story layout connects stables and arena via a smooth ramp, placing horse stalls on the lower floor and elevating the arena above for visual impact.

The beautiful brick front draws your eyes upward to notice its beautiful design.

Stable Interior

For the horse stalls the family chose the galvanised fronts in Röwer & Rüb’s Hamburg model. Each stall is equipped with a rotating trough and a medicine cabinet for stowing equipment. For function, the fronts are pivotable for easy mucking out and cleaning.

The barn doors and windows are all made in Germany by Röwer & Rüb with fine details that accentuate the stable’s traditional style.

Tack Room

The neatly organized tack room offers a space for everything with custom cabinetry, plenty of hooks, and a center island with a sink and storage.

Saddle pads and blankets are neatly stored vertically on the wall.

Indoor Arena

With a distinctive L-shaped indoor arena, Wolfshoeve accommodates both competition settings and warm-up sessions at the same time.

Idyllic Spaces
Nestled at the edge of a beautiful nature reserve, Wolfshoeve offers specially designed bridle paths right from the doorstep when you’re not training.

Thank you Röwer & Rüb and Wolfshoeve for sharing your property with Stable Style.
