This two-stall barn in West Petaluma, California is absolutely adorable.
Christine Gemuend’s charming two-stall barn is the perfect residence for her two retired horses. The 14 acre property in Petaluma was once a dairy farm. Christine and her family moved here in the spring. One of the first priorities was updating the barn, which was originally a garage. The previous owners had converted it into a stable, but it needed some improvements including a new roof.
Christine and her husband Markus, their two dogs and two cats are currently living in a small cottage on the property while they build a farmhouse. They named their place Weeping Willow Farm because of the large Weeping Willow tree on the land. Along with the horses, there are a few cows in that live in the field with plans to get sheep in the future.
Tasteful farmhouse details and decor are found around the barn.
The barn interior features RAMM Oxford stalls with a full grill and feed door. The barn interior is bright and cheerful with a light grey paint.
Both of the equine residents are retired so there is no need for a tack room in the barn.
There is a wash rack and grooming area on the outside of the barn.
The back of the barn opens up to two outdoor runs that connect to the pasture. The metal dutch doors are by RAMM.
Hay and shavings are stored nearby in this structure. There is also another cottage on the property.
Here is an old fountain on the farm.
