The goal was to create a space that reflects high-performance showjumping while embracing a boutique, tranquil feel. Inspired by modern Australian architecture, the team selected raw materials like timber, concrete, and steel, complemented by an earthy color palette. The barn is designed to blend harmoniously into the landscape — not just as a building, but as a natural extension of its surroundings.
Turiya Farms began as the embodiment of a bold vision — one rooted in passion, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence. Founder and director Ananda Kennard honed her skills in the United States, training alongside some of the nation’s most respected showjumping professionals. After making Australia her home, she continued to refine her craft under the guidance of leading figures in the local equestrian scene. Ananda is now working with Darragh Kenny as a mentor and Nick Zilles. Ambitious and unwavering in her commitment, Ananda set her sights on the international stage. Turiya Farms was born from this drive — not only to support her own journey, but to create a space where like-minded riders could also chase greatness at the highest level of the sport.
Enter the main barn which has 6 stalls for Turiya’s top sport horses.
The property is home to 11 spacious stalls designed with airflow, comfort, and functionality in mind. There are 8 lush paddocks, allowing plenty of turnout for the horses. The barn includes dedicated tack and feed rooms, wash bays, and grooming areas — all laid out to prioritize efficiency and a stress-free environment for both horses and handlers.
The tack room is directly across from the grooming and wash stall area for easy and direct access.
Keeping a clean barn and tack room is achievable with daily tidying and thoughtful storage – hooks, shelves, and labelled bins help everything stay in its place.
Second Barn
The indoor-outdoor flow of the stables is one of the best design choices for the horses, allowing them to feel calm and comfortable. Here in the secondary barn, there are 5 stalls for horses and ponies in training.
Grooming and Wash Stalls
Centrally located between both stables, outdoor wash racks and covered grooming stalls are found between the gently sloping landscape.
Outdoor Arena
A standout feature is Turiya’s show jumping arena with premium geotextile footing, built to support optimal performance and horse safety. It provides a consistent, high-performance surface that not only improves training but also supports long-term soundness and well-being for the horses.
Behind the arena are ample turnout options – dry lots, connected to pastures with covered shelters to allow the horses a chance to escape the elements.
Turiya Equestrian Park is more than just a stable — it’s a thoughtfully designed space that nurtures the partnership between horse and rider. Every detail has been created to support performance, wellbeing, and connection. It’s a place where passion and purpose come together to bring out the best in every athlete, human and equine alike.
