Bethany Unwin was running out of room for her stuff in the shared tack room at her boarding facility. She needed some sort of storage shed for hanging up bridles and storing other items. After spending some time on Pinterest, she had a vision for the space she wanted to create – the end result was a white, bright, and beautiful tack room.
Bethany purchased a 6 x 12 foot Tuff Shed from the TR-700 series.
The shed before the makeover.
Bethany’s dad was happy to help with the project. They used sheetrock and bead board to create solid walls.
An amazing before and after transformation.
The beautiful bridle rack is a DIY also inspired by Pinterest Bethany explained.
“I just bought some birch plywood, sawed it to the length and width I wanted, sanded and stained it, then put the hardware on afterward.”
This bench is divided into three sections and offers storage down below. The left side holds extra saddle pads and cools, the center belongs to Jiggy, Tubby, and Pudgy (follow Bethany’s adorable mini’s on Instagram @jiggyandtubby ), and the right side houses boots, polos, and bandages.
The framed photographs are Bethany’s horses. She’s an equestrian photographer and enjoys shooting her own horses when she is not working for clients.
The cabinets above the bench are from IKEA.
This cabinet is also from IKEA.
Bethany keeps her horses at Rancho Los Amigos in San Diego, California. She initially thought about including a saddle rack in this space but decided to keep them in the shared tack room with a security system for extra protection.
Here is one more look at the elegant bridle rack, you would never guess it’s a DIY!
