A focus on clean lines, thoughtful site planning and natural components allow this barn to fit in beautifully with the landscape. The architectural choices fuse safety and aesthetics to make a functional facility. The main stable for the prestigious polo horses includes a tack room, centralized relaxation and social space and veterinary area.
Made with traditional construction, the box stalls are composed of concrete and brick. The open stall fronts allow the horses to socialize and interact with each other.
The space left between the wall and roof allows light and ventilation to enter the barn.
A simple outdoor wash rack with concrete and reclaimed wood posts matches the barn’s design.
Estudio Balzano & Associates uses a contemporary design with pure lines, creating a visually appealing structure.
The use of natural material is incorporated as much as possible. Recycled timber is used throughout the barn. This rustic pergola is composed of solid pitch pine wood, belonging to an old pier. Once underwater for 80 years, this wood was recovered and looks stunning on the concrete patio with reclaimed wood furniture.
Mature plants and natural landscaping enhance the beauty of this barn’s exterior.
