A beautiful horse barn offers a place to entertain and enjoy its equine residents.
Situated in idyllic Wilmington, Delaware a horse barn built in 2016 by B&D Builders was thoughtfully designed with a lower level for the horses and a second floor loft designed with hosting in mind. The hybrid timber-frame barn is a 38’ x 62’ building with a 10’ x 60’ open lean-to porch. The lean-to porch, custom cedar doors, HardiePlank siding, and standing-seam metal roof give the exterior a welcoming, traditional feel, perfect for its tranquil surroundings.

The large custom cedar barn doors contrast beautifully with the maintenance free Hardi Plank siding, standing seam metal roofing and gable timber corbels.
With a total of 2,300 square footage, the 6-stall barn is extremely spacious. The barn includes a small kitchen, bathroom, tack room with custom lockers, wash rack, and upstairs loft for relaxing and entertaining. Beautiful finishes are found throughout the barn, including elegant lighting from Restoration Hardware and rubber pavers in the center aisle.
Custom European stall fronts designed with airflow and ventilation in mind, paired with grill dividers allow socializing between neighbors.
Each stall includes rubber mats, an automatic waterer and overhead fan.
The wash rack has simple, but effective shelves for shampoo and an overhead hose.
Entertaining Spaces
The loft upstairs is the perfect place for dinner parties and casual hangouts.
Porch & Turnout
The stalls all have access to an all weather turnout with a stone base with stone screenings on top and ample pasture space.
Thank you B&D Builders for sharing this project with Stable Style.
