When you open the door to Rebecca Yuhasz Smith’s tack room your first reaction might be to take off your shoes and stay for a while. Rebecca’s tack room is a well decorated space that celebrates the sporting lifestyle. Her good taste isn’t surprising considering she’s the owner of the successful equestrian lifestyle brand, Rebecca Ray. Rebecca designs handbags, belts, and more that are admired by many equestrians.
I photographed and originally shared these images in 2014 on my blog, Horses & Heels. Since I am dedicated to sharing properties from around the world on Stable Style, I decided to publish this post here too for new readers.
The tack room features a small island and kitchen area for snacking and taking a break between chores. Hemlock Lane at Valley High is located in Moreland Hills, Ohio near Chagrin Falls. It’s a charming area filled with lots of history.
Along with horses, the Smith family also has a passion for raising champion English Setters. This is a horse and dog friendly barn with plenty decor to reflect that. Their kennel can be accessed through the tack room.
The hunter green wall with wainscoting neatly holds saddles, bridles, and driving harnesses.
The tack is stored on brass hooks and racks.
The Smiths show Percheron Draft Horses and have plenty of harnesses that need to be stored.
Everything has its proper place in the barn. An ample amount of hooks keeps tack tidy.
Rebecca loves vintage art and accessories, they can be found on display throughout the room.
The tack room also features a cozy corner area for sitting adorned with equestrian decor.
The Saratoga pillow is one of Rebecca’s own products. The room is well decorated and designed.
