It’s amazing what you can do with a small space when you think about maximizing its potential. Amy Craft’s rustic and charming tack shed is an organization lover’s dream. Her tack room is a 16’x8’ space with a 3.5’ exterior porch build by Shed World. Shed World is based in Southern California and specializes in creating portable wood buildings and garages. These sheds are perfect for tack rooms too!
This tack room stores saddles and tack for three horses and one pony. Amy’s young daughters keep her extremely busy and are also budding equine enthusiasts.
A cowhide rug, steer skull, and metal sign add some classic western touches to the room.
Amy and her husband covered the original plywood floor with vinyl flooring that looks like wood. It’s easy to keep clean and and maintain, plus the cowhide rug is durable as well.
Phelan, California’s dry desert environment can be very dusty. Amy sweeps regularly and makes sure there is a place for everything. She always puts bridles and breast collars away neatly to avoid making a mess. She also visits a local tack consignment store every year to sell unnecessary extra tack. Avoiding clutter is key to keeping the space coordinated.
The organized feed and veterinary chart.
Everything is in its place.
