Frösåker Dressage Stable is located in beautiful Sweden. When I first discovered this stunning stable on Instagram ( @frosakerds ), I just knew I had to feature it. The facility offers sales, training and lessons with the talented Philippa Ral, who started riding at age two. By nine, Philippa started to compete more seriously on a pony. From there, a long list of medals and accomplishments followed her throughout her equestrian career.
Philippa’s family has played a crucial role bringing Frösåker Dressage Stable to life. Her mother, Charlotte Ral is a working architect who designed the barn and its plans. She sketched every detail including the windows and doors. They started construction on the barn in 2015 and did everything themselves with the help of 3 construction workers.
Christer Ral is Philippa’s dad. He is known for building Frösåker Golf & Country Club in 1989, it’s now a top country club in Sweden. If one thing is for certain, it is that a dedication to hard work runs in the family.
This beautiful hallway leads to a stunning riding arena.
The dark beams contrast beautifully against the bright white arena. The windows let in plenty of natural light as well.
Design is in the details and Frösåker Dressage Stable has a warm and welcoming environment.

The stunning tack room. It’s well organized and grand. One of Philippa’s favorite things she loves about the barn is its sweeping machine. It keeps the barn clean and pristine. Since they often host events, a spotless barn is very important. Daily cleaning of spider webs and dust really helps.

The amazing bathroom with rustic touches. There are lots of brick details throughout the entire stable.

The barn was intentionally built small, consisting of 6 stalls, with a few outside stalls for young horses. This allows quality to clients and horses to be a top priority. Since the barn is small, an alternative revenue source comes from hosting events for companies or weddings.
Philippa explains, “Right now we are still building on our top floor which is over the stable. There is going to be 3 double luxury rooms each with bathrooms, an open area with dinner table, open fire, kitchen, lounge, balcony to the indoor and to the outside of the building.”
