Nicola Baur-Rona is a talented, professional dressage rider. Nicola started competing at age eight all the way to a Grand Prix level. She has represented the Austrian dressage team in five European championships -juniors and young riders.
Nicola currently lives in the spa and ski town of beautiful Bad Gastein, Austria with her husband, horses, and dogs. She has been kind enough to share her dreamy stable with us.
Nicola’s barn was built 5-years-ago. All of the construction work was done by the Austrian company, Wolf.
“Our barn was completely designed by myself and built on our grounds on my favourite spot in the middle of the woods. We even used the exact same trees that stood there for the barn’s wooden construction work which gives the whole place a very special feel.”
Just down the aisle are two solariums and a spacious spa/grooming area
The barn has 6 stalls, allowing Nicola to provide a peaceful environment for training and schooling dressage prospects (mostly stallions).
The spectacular stalls are by Röwer & Rüb, a German company.
The barn has a lot of amazing features including plenty of cupboards and storage space throughout. When it comes to keeping a tidy stable, Nicola advises to stay on top of daily cleaning to keep it looking beautiful.
This indoor arena gets plenty of natural light and a nice view of the trees surrounding the property.
The horses have a paddock right outside the barn and pastures nearby.
The photo below gives you an idea of how tucked away in the alps this amazing stable it. It’s nestled up in the mountains and offers quite the view.
Thank you Nicola for sharing your barn tour with us!
