#StableStyle from @blackburn_architects – Starting with a pre-designed Blackburn Greenbarn™, our clients customized this 7-stall barn in CA to create a signature space. The original plan had exposed rafters, for example, and the client chose to laminate them under the smooth, curved, barrel vault roof for a more refined aesthetic. The barn has clerestory windows and vents for natural light and considerable ventilation. Louvers at each end of the barn provide additional high wall vents and Dutch doors on stall exteriors help facilitate low venting. Because of the curved roof, wind blows across it similar to the way air would go up and over the wing of a plane, helping to maintain healthy conditions in the interior.
