A private horse barn with elegant arches, stucco and timeless terracotta is stunning inside and out.
This gorgeous Spanish inspired barn surrounded by mature Oak trees in Sarasota, Florida is one of many barns recently completed by husband and wife duo Justin and Heather Avant of Little Coconut Homes. Justin grew up in Wellington, familiar with the equestrian scene. He has been working in construction since 2004, mainly on high-rise buildings. In 2019, the couple completed their first horse barn together and have built and designed 17 equestrian spaces since then.
When the client approached Little Coconut Homes with a vision for their barn, they had a floor plan, but Heather brought the final sketch to life. The result is a stunning barn with Spanish influence and modern amenities.

Beyond the arched wooden doors is a spacious 16′ wide aisle lined with rubber pavers.
The barn has eight custom stalls by Rockin J Equine including one adorable stall with miniature level stall fronts, one double stall and the rest are 12′ x 12′.
Airflow is extremely important with Florida’s humidity. The barn features 22′ high ceilings and is equipped with Big Ass Fans in the center aisle.
The stalls feature exterior dutch doors, rubber mats, Bedding Blockers to keep shavings inside, individual pendant lights from Build.com and closed motor, barn safe fans.
The statement-worthy wagon wheel chandeliers are from Amazon.
