Tucked into the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and nestled near the Snoqualmie River, this impressive horse property offers sweeping views of the surrounding hillside.
In 2022, McClellan | Tellone completed the Holland Estate Barn, a private breeding and dressage facility situated on 20 acres outside of Fall City, Washington. DME Construction built the barn, bringing the client’s and McClellan Architect’s vision to life.
Designed to be traditional, yet current with a palette of low maintenance wood and black accents, the barn is composed of Douglas fir, inside and out. Along with a 10-stall barn, the property includes an outdoor dressage arena with premium footing, covered round pen and ample pastures with loafing sheds. The master planning included considering the views of the facilities from the owners newly constructed home, while utilizing and improving existing pastures and loafing sheds. The movement of horses, visitors, vehicles and deliveries were all considered to maintain safety and a sense of elegance upon arrival.

The 20m x 60m arena features a Eurotex custom blend of silica sand, geo felt and microfiber additives, ideal for year round riding in Pacific Northwest Weather; installed by White Construction Services.
The tranquil environment and thoughtful barn layout allows the horses to feel relaxed and comfortable in their surroundings. The barn’s all-weather outdoor runs are 14′ x 24′.
The fencing for both the paddocks and pastures is Buckley steel board fencing, installed by White Construction Services.
The barn features ten 14’x14′ stalls, plus an oversized foaling stall which can be used as a quarantine stall. The barn has three grooming bays and a wash stall adjacent to the spacious tack room with a lounge. The farrier bay and vet stall have large doors that open directly to parking areas for the vet and farrier vehicles. In addition to the large hay loft, a feed and grain room is located on the main level with access to laundry, bath, and kitchenette.
The stall components were provided by Classic Equine Equipment.
The foaling stall features mesh to offer better visibility into the space, making it easier to keep an eye on a mare and/or foal.
Tack Room
The thoughtfully planned tack room features custom cabinetry and maximizes vertical storage space. Saddles, pads, bridles and helmets all have a place.

Upstairs Barn Loft
The loft features a large skylight which floods the barn with soft light.
There are five bridges which span over the aisle for easy hay distribution to the stalls and a large access door for easy hay deliveries. There is also a sleeping apartment for close monitoring of mares as they near foaling.
