Florida’s equestrian scene is known for its thriving communities and exciting events. The Winter Equestrian Festival takes place in Wellington each year and continues to grow. The twelve weeks of competition brings an abundance of horses to the area and creates a need for stalls as they filter in and out.
This open and airy stable in West Palm Beach was designed by Office Mian Ye. It was constructed in just four short weeks with a cost of $30/sf. The straight forward, no frills stable is perfect for horses passing through during the winter months.
The ten stall barn shelters the horses from the sun and rain and works well for Florida’s warm environment.
The structure of was built using cedar, interlocking rubber mats are found throughout the barn.
