Welcome to the barn at TechnoPolo in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Recently Estudio Balzano & Asco. designed this modern polo stable for the club at TechnoPolo. It is the first barn on site, with room for up to 12 more stables to be built on the expansive polo resort and country club. Inspired by modern architecture with safety and aesthetics in mind, this barn was created with the ability to be divided among its users. It can be owned by a single owner or up to four owners with amenities and zones inside to function as separate stables. Utilizing traditional construction and design elements, this stable took 10 months to finish.
The roof is divided into several different heights, to allow better ventilation and airflow while allowing the sizable barn to blend in naturally with its surrounding landscape. The massive barn utilized proper planning, essential for separating equestrian access paths and areas for service vehicles to enter the barn.

The massive stable houses 56 box stalls inside, with the easy option to divide the barn into zones for different owners or polo teams.
Inside the barn has a loft with a bathroom, tack rooms for clients to store mallets, boots and saddles and tack rooms for the grooms, 3 storage areas for hay and grain, a veterinary area with a laundry room, 4 outdoor seating areas, grooms facilities with two bedrooms, a bathroom and living room, dining room and kitchen.
Rick Balzano, the owner of Estudio Balzano & Asco firmly believes that safety and functionality are the keys to success. Contemporary design is met with the owner’s requirements to create a stable that is both beautiful and safe.
The box stalls embrace an open concept, allowing the horses to socially interact with each other even while they are stalled. The stalls are composed of concrete, iron and hardwood walls with wooden stall doors.
Rubber pavers are found throughout the barn aisle for a safe surface for the horses.
