When interior designer Lindsay Hunter decided to officially give her bedroom a makeover, she already had an equestrian muse in mind. The palomino mare lovingly known as Alice was no longer with Lindsay, but over 20 years of memories and a collection of tack was left behind. A former polo player, this space is dedicated to Alice.

Alice is pictured in the black and white photo above. Lindsay took this photo when she was in high school. The pair appropriately won the frame at a polo tournament.
Lindsay had a vision for the perfect pair of nightstands in her head before she found her nightstands from Made Goods. She wanted some thing with texture and fell in love with these leather nightstands with brass hardware and saddle stitching.
Vintage horse prints are by Hart Equestrian available at LindsayHunterDesign.com.
Alice’s old bit is used as a tie-back for the curtain. The tartan blanket is from LindsayHunterDesign.com.
When it came to picking out the paint color, Lindsay was set on finding the perfect shade of green. She wanted it to be dark and cozy, with a nod to the old hunt club.
The winner was Benjamin Moore’s Backwoods.
Lindsay found an amazing orange Hermès riding boot lamp on Chairish, an amazing source for one-of-a-kind pieces. They have lots of unique equestrian finds. The lamp looked just like her first pair of polo boots. Her old stirrups were placed in close proximity to the boot.
Equine prints – collected and curated over time. Etching print of the fox hunter is from Silver Oaks Farm.
