This modern barndominium has everything for horses and humans.
Situated in Virginia, a barndominium project by Quarry View Building Group is beautiful inside and out. The five stall barn features custom designed stalls by Quarry View, a wash stall, full bathroom, 12′ x 24′ tack room and matching 12’x 24′ storage area with stairs leading up to a pristine living space.
Lower Level Interior
The first level features a 12′ wide center aisle with a block foundation throughout. Masonry blocks have been painted white, offering durability that brightens and beautifies the space. Douglas fir custom timber frame beams add a perfect contrast against the blocks. The wash stall has CMU block walls.
The stalls in the barn are 12′ x 12′ with easy to open sliding doors and recessed lighting situated in the ceiling.
Living Quarters
Access to the upstairs living quarters is located in the storage area, which is next to the downstairs bathroom.
The upstairs living area is a spacious 1,900 ft.².
Interior design credits go to Alison Naden of Loudoun Modern, LLC.
The space is rustic, warm and cozy. When it comes to living above your horses, it’s important to go with a trusted, experienced builder. Quarry View Building Group was able to help navigate their clients through the time consuming pitfalls of planning and permits. Quarry View uses Virtual Reality so their clients can envision being in their home and stable before it’s built. This process helps to develop detailed plans including the layout, finishes and often neglected vital storage areas.
Exterior Angles
The barn features James Hardie Iron Gray siding.
New paddocks will also be added around the barn in the future.
