The barn is the foundation for any horse property, but beautiful landscape and stylish details go a long way. I came across Sarah’s Florida Barn Renovation on her blog, Grappa Lane thanks to Pinterest.
The barn is located in Wellington, Florida and is next to the Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds. The barn is currently rented out right now, but will be on the market in May of this year. If you are looking for property in Wellington, this just might be it.
The main entrance to the barn is accented with lush greenery and plants.
There are a total of 18 stalls in the courtyard style barn facing the water. The property also features a private six stall wing overlooking the riding field.
Sarah and her mother purchased the property in the early 90s and have put in many upgrades. They did not hire an architect and Sarah designed the renovation herself.
When I asked Sarah about her favorite features of the property she replied, “I love that every stall has a big window and great airflow. Horses are really happy there. It’s very peaceful, with beautiful, expansive views. The fence along the water is planted with jasmine, and the smell is like a tropical escape. I love taking a moment to enjoy it in the new hammock by the water. But the most important thing is the horses. This property was designed with their wellbeing in mind every step of the way, and horses clearly love living there.”
The new six stall wing features custom powder-coated stalls by Lucas Equine Equipment.
Rubber pavers in the aisle provide a wonderful anti-slip surface.
This is the exterior to the tack room.
The tack room doubles as a trophy room too.
A trellis with a view is the perfect place for lunch or taking a break.
A horse walks through the courtyard.
The bushes, trees, and flowers really add a nice tranquil vibe.
A seahorse fountain in the middle of the courtyard.

Thank you Sarah for sharing your wonderful horse friendly property with us! Be sure to check out the original blog post for more photos.
