“Our farm is about 30 minutes from the city of Zurich and 20 minutes from Zurich airport on the outskirts of the village of Dielsdorf, next to the “Horsepark Zürich” horse track,” explains Simone Graf.

Simone and her husband Markus purchased the farm in 2005 after it was for sale for many years. No one could see the potential for this place, but Simone and Markus did. They put their heart into improving the grounds and stable over the last ten years.

Markus trains dressage horses for the Grand Prix and other events. In 2011 he was the Swiss Grand Prix dressage champion and has won three medals at the European Championships in Gothenburg. He is a well respected and accomplished rider.

Simone runs the administrative side of things around the barn and looks after the property. She has an eye for detail and design that shows in their stunning photographs.

Stall Mainau is successful not only because of Markus’s riding skills, but because of its welcoming and friendly environment. Horses and riders are put at ease here.
