Stunning stone adds charm and personality to a barn equipped with modern amenities on the inside.
In 2019 KGA Studio Architects designed this picturesque horse property perfectly situated on 3.65 acres in Greenwood Village, Colorado – just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the Denver Tech Center. The scope of the project included a remodeled custom home, new pool with a cabana overlooking a spacious outdoor arena and the horse barn with upstairs living quarters. The end result is a thoughtfully planned property for the client and their horses.

The beautiful two-story horse barn features a timeless stone and stucco exterior with a metal roof, offering a modern touch. The mid-sized building doesn’t overpower the vast horizon surrounded by blue skies and lush greenery.
Barn Interior
The interior of the stable has five well ventilated stalls with sliding doors and a feed door by Stablemaster, red rubber pavers, a tack room, wash stall with a solarium and upstairs living quarters with a one bedroom apartment.
The thoughtfully designed tack room offers bench seating with storage, a tack wall and decorative storage above. The interior wood is beetle kill pine.
Outdoor Riding Arena
The arena is 80′ x 200′ and features Martin Collins footing with a carefully planned drainage system and dressage mirrors. The vision for the arena was brought to life by the owner and Candy Bates of First Water Construction who also built the barn and worked with KGA on the project.
