Breeding Facility in Collinsville, Texas
True North Show Horses hired American Stalls to help with their new barn and an existing barn’s renovation. The original barn had existing European horse stalls in their cinderblock barn. However, they wanted to transform these European horse stalls into safe stalls for their stallions. American Stalls worked with True North and their barn builder to engineer custom sliding horse stalls. The sliding horse stall doors were built to match the stall doors in their new barn.

Private Barn in Virginia
This renovation showcases a 4-stall barn. The Virginia barn was already onsite when the owners purchased their new farm. When the owners moved in, they wanted to redo the barn for their dressage horses – including a renovation of both the stalls and flooring. This project had several changes including custom sliding horse stall doors, custom grillwork for their existing horse stall fronts, custom 1″ round bars for their exterior barn windows and black 7/8″ rubber pavers for their aisles and breezeways. Rubber pavers are not only beautiful, but they add traction to aisles, making them safer. The clients decided that their horses knew each other enough that they were comfortable to allow their horses to hang their heads out of their stalls at all times with the v-shaped yoke. Lastly, a mesh bottom was added to the horse stall doors to help with ventilation during hot summers in Virginia.

Dressage Facility in Maryland
Here is a barn renovation that American Stalls recently completed for the Chesapeake Dressage Institute (CDI) in Annapolis, Maryland. CDI is a well-known dressage training facility with a historic barn onsite. The CDI team came to American Stalls to redo a facility that had began to show signs of aging. The first phase of the renovation features custom sliding doors, grillwork, feed doors, water utility boxes, blanket bars and even hinged exterior window guards.
The goal of this renovation was to not only improve the aesthetics, but to also improve the barn’s functionality. This meant newly built drop down yokes and utility boxes that operated with ease. It meant blanket bars that held even the heaviest of blankets during the winter. The second phase of the renovation will potentially include horse stall mattresses, aisle flooring, and window yokes to improve comfort and airflow within the barn.
