A stunning stone stable with modern updates.
The Cheshire Hunt Conservancy in Unionville, Pennsylvania called on Archer & Buchanan for the redevelopment of their historic barn site. The goal was to deliver a barn to meet the modern stable demands for the Cheshire Hunt staff’s horses. The 14-stall barn features two wash stalls, a tack room, equipment bays, plus hay and straw storage above. The new barn connects the adjacent boarding house and Cheshire House to form a working courtyard.

The design details are thoughtful and exude equestrian charm.
The beautiful barn features durable stone for longevity.
It’s only appropriate that the barn has a fox weathervane on the cupola.
The modern design has cost saving benefits. The Cheshire Hunt Conservancy has experienced a 50% reduction in horse-care costs compared to the previous 1920s facility. Additionally equine management is now easier as well.
