Step inside an appealing office with pops of green, pink and thoughtful details.
Working from home has never been more comfortable or glamorous, especially when it comes to this horse filled office belonging to Emmie Strommen, creator of Calling All Horse Girls. Emmie created CAHG to bring equestrians together and form a community among like-minded individuals.
“Calling All Horse Girls started because I saw a group of people missing from the conversation, the ones who had to step away from riding (like myself) or the ones that never had the opportunity to ride. Everything we do as a company revolves around the belief that having a connection with a horse is important. So anyone who wants that connection should feel like it’s attainable. We’re trying to break down the barrier to entry by building a community of like-minded people.”
Emmie has recently released two issues of her new and popular CAHG magazine to carry on the conversation beyond her Instagram account. The magazine has a unique look and aesthetic, just like her office.
Emmie’s elevated office mixes old and new. Her custom pink lacquered desk is one of many eye-catching pieces in the space. Her mom is a professional interior designer who helped bring Emmie’s upscale office vision to life. The room took about two months to create from concept to creation. There was one month to plan and another to execute the ideas.
The Perfect Shelfie
Most of the decor on the bold green shelves is thrifted or gifted and collected over time. Emmie’s office is the one place she feels comfortable piling on all things equestrian and is always switching up the accent pieces.

A beloved wooden tack trunk adds a touch of horse barn nostalgia to the room.
“By bringing in elements like my old tack trunk and pairing it with a custom pink lacquered desk it makes the office feel familiar, but at the same time unexpected. I often say it’s like my dream London tack room. Textured, personal and inspiring.”
“At the end of the day, it is my office. So I needed it to be functional for creativity above all else. I have a giant whiteboard that I painted the trim the same color as the built-ins. I have a ton of storage and the desk is huge so I can spread out. It really is the ultimate ‘working horse girl’ space.”
