A modern farmhouse inspired barn sits on a peaceful Florida property.
Claudia von Gumppenberg grew up in Bavaria, where her family bred Warmbloods as a secondary business. She lived and breathed horses, she was riding as soon as she could walk. With a passion for the equestrian lifestyle and design, Claudia took the lead on developing and planning her new barn at Emerald Hill Farm South, along with the matching modern farmhouse on the property.
Emerald Hill Farm South is home during the winter and where Claudia keeps her small boutique sales operation along with personal jumpers and hunters. After renovating her original 1850s farm in Essex, Massachusetts, Claudia purchased this Florida property. Although she has designed and renovated apartments and commercial spaces previously in Europe, equestrian properties are a new venture. Claudia has developed and sold several horse properties in Florida and is enjoying this equine business aspect.

The barn’s white exterior is modern and clean, matching the low country farmhouse also built on the property. The design is simple, yet stunning with black accents, a gray metal roof and extra large windows for the horses to enjoy, allowing plenty of natural light. The barn’s exterior is composed of pine, painted white.
Barn Interior
The barn was built in 2021 and took less than 6 months to complete. Claudia designed everything and worked with a local barn builder who turned her vision into a reality. Together they have completed 4 barns over a course of 3 years.
Inside there are 8 stalls. Claudia uses Barnware Hardware and Double R Manufacturing for all of her metal work, including her stalls. The stunning light fixtures are from Lowes.
Tack Room
The tack room is almost complete and features elegant black hardware.
The idyllic property is surrounded by mature trees and spacious pastures.
