A newly built barn brings together elevated craftsmanship and purposeful design.

Eustis, Florida, located just outside the equestrian epicenter of Ocala, is home to a brand new barn. It’s a picture of craftsmanship and function with modern amenities. The barn was recently executed by Thomas J. Mosco Custom Homes and equipped with an array of custom pieces from American Stalls. They worked closely with the client, a passionate hunter jumper to make a comfortable and thoughtfully planned barn.

At the heart of the barn are four custom European stall fronts, designed with graceful arched tops and timeless styling. Functional details include mesh-bottom doors for airflow and visibility, ergonomic grilled feed doors for convenient aisle-side feeding, and integrated water line access that allows buckets to be filled from outside the stall.

Each stall system is fabricated from fully welded steel, then finished in a durable powder coat, built to withstand both wear and Florida’s high-humidity environment.

Every detail, from the custom latches to the curved lines, is designed to enhance daily routines.

A custom feed gate opening allows for easy access into the stall during feeding time.

Additional barn components from American Stalls include rubber pavers, Bedding Blockers, and stall mattress systems for ultimate comfort.

The stalls feature fully welded privacy partitions featuring wood infill panels on both the top and bottom.

The tall, open aisle creates a dramatic entry, emphasized by the soaring vaulted ceiling lined with rich wood planks. Exposed beams and metal trusses add structure. The muted wall color keeps the palette calm and cohesive, allowing the warm wood ceiling and black metal accents to take center stage.

Oversized circular chandeliers draw the eye upward and highlight the barn’s height, while sleek wall-mounted sconces provide soft, even illumination along the aisle. Together, they balance ambiance with functionality.

Exterior Spaces

A set of oversized sliding barn doors serves as a focal point of the structure, featuring matching quad-pane glass panels above and bold crossbuck detailing below inspired by traditional American barn architecture.

The barn exterior features modern detailing with a warm standing-seam metal roof, stone accents, and smooth stucco to create a balanced, grounded look. The mix of gabled rooflines, red accented windows, and dark wood and glass doors add character while keeping the overall design cohesive. Â A deep overhang with exposed timber elements frames the main entry.

To maximize natural light and ventilation throughout the barn, a series of handcrafted Dutch doors and matching barn windows were incorporated into the design.

The Dutch doors include tempered quad-pane safety glass, protective grill guards positioned behind the glass to prevent horse contact, and all stainless-steel hardware—including non-locking latches and adjustable barrel hinges—selected for durability in Florida’s salt-rich climate.

Thank you American Stalls for sharing this project with Stable Style.
