A private horse barn in Hagersville, Ontario is thoughtfully designed.
In 2022, this traditional horse barn was built by Bauke Jorna of Hagersville with carpentry completed by Earl Chambers Carpentry of Waterford. The clients called upon System Equine for their equestrian expertise to provide several components for the barn, including their stalls.

The well appointed barn is home to powerful performance Quarter Horses, competing in barrel racing, western events including pleasure and several broodmares who foal on the property.
A set of black double dutch doors leads into the barn’s entrance, opening the doors to an elegant interior.
Inside, the barn houses a tack and feed room, powder room and laundry room, a comfortable lounge, wash stall, and currently five stalls, with two configured as double-wide foaling stalls (with the potential for seven stalls).
Here, one door leads to the tack room and feed room, outfitted with black saddle racks and heavy-duty bridle wall brackets. The second door opens into a powder room and a laundry room, ensuring everything you need is inside the barn.
Behind this door reveals a lounge and viewing room, providing a panoramic view of the expansive outdoor riding ring that doubles as a dry lot.
The Stalls
The clients selected System Equine’s black powder-coated Braecrest stalls, featuring a feed opening and full grill Nobleman V door with pin latch for functionality and elegance.
The full grill doors ensure optimal ventilation and visibility, creating a connection between horses and their surroundings while maintaining safety. The owners love how the full grill doors allow horses to still see the movement in the barn and it lets foals get a full view, too.
Comfort takes precedence, each stall is equipped with StableComfort stall mattress flooring, which reduces the use of bedding.
Black cast-iron automatic push waterers in each stall are a convenience.
The gray interlocking keystone flooring in the aisle provides an attractive, non slip surface.
Barn Lounge
Comfort awaits with a set of barstools facing the outdoor riding arena.
Tack & Feed Room
Bridles are neatly hung in the tack room.
Everything is neatly labeled and has a place. These Rubbermaid feed bins have been quite popular in previous barn tours.
The wash stall, featuring puckboard walls, adds to the practicality of the barn, ensuring the well-being of the horses in every detail.
The barn’s exterior, adorned with two single black-on-black Dutch doors leading to the paddocks, exemplifies the seamless integration of style and functionality.
You will find a five-blanket rack beside one of the single Dutch doors, providing an organized space for blankets to dry out.
