This tidy tack room has plenty of storage.
Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, Blue Star Camps is a special place. The expansive 500-acre property adjoins a 10,400-acre forest preserve, allowing campers to truly connect with nature. Blue Star Camps Equestrian offers a top rated week-long overnight horse camp and a seven week unique lesson and pony camp experience.
The Blue Star Camps Equestrian Program is accredited by the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA). The goal is to help campers develop their riding skills, enhance their knowledge of horses and care on the ground while building a relationship with their horse. With a focus on Hunters, Blue Star has been family owned and managed since 1948.
With 25 stalls and a busy equine program, it’s important to have a clean and organized tack room for daily operations. Blue Star’s Equestrian Director of fifteen years, Louise Prosser designed every inch of this 24′ x 12′ tack room. Custom white oak cabinets by Giving Tree Cabinetry in Cedar Mountain, North Carolina offers a place for everything and plenty of storage. The wood in the space was hand stained with PPG ProLuxe wood stain in Dark Oak 009.
Excess tack and accessories are stored in the drawers above and below with a drawer of each of the following items; girths, stirrup irons, bits, stirrup leathers, bell boots and jumping boots, wraps, lunge lines, spare bridles and reins/tack, pony reins, lead ropes and halters.
The Easy-Up saddle racks are from Schneiders
The brass bridle hooks are from Dover Saddlery.
