Enjoy Boutique Boarding at Cartwright Equestrian

Cartwright Equestrian is a family owned boutique boarding facility with just six stalls, located in South Langley, British Columbia.

Saje Cartwright runs the daily operations around the barn. At just 19 years old, Saje cannot remember a time when she didn’t love horses. She grew up caring for horses and they have always been a part of the family.

“Our family has been involved with horses for generations, primarily in the ranch horse and western community but also in the hunter/jumper world.”

The 5-acre property has been owned by Glen and Shawna Cartwright for over twenty years. It started off with a 60′ x 80′ outdoor arena and just one paddock. Today the property is home to a brand new barn (built in 2019) indoor arena, multiple paddocks and fields. All of paddocks have shelters and automatic waterers.

The 45′ x 70′ barn was built and designed by the entire Cartwright family. Additional help came from Glen’s construction company, Summit Quality Homes. Everything in the barn was handmade, including the stalls. All of the wood in the barn and indoor is tongue and groove pine. Notable accessories, including the chandeliers were sourced from local antique stores. The barn is rustic, yet elegant. The state-of-the-art barn is equipped with security cameras and sprinklers.

The attached indoor arena is 80’x 200′ and has a heated viewing area, jumps are available and the footing is very well maintained.

“As a brand new facility, and having decades of horse experience, we believe we’ve created the most friendly and safe environment for you and your horse to enjoy,” Saje said.

Other barn amenities include heat throughout the barn, a hot/cold wash stall, bathroom, laundry room, 3′ x 5′ tack lockers and a stereo with bluetooth connection.

The equestrian facility is a convenient two minute walk away from the South entrance to Campbell Valley Park. Inside the park there are eighteen miles of riding trails, an outdoor arena and cross country course. Cartwright Equestrian welcomes all disciplines and levels of riders, along with their coaches to visit. Clinics and haul-in’s with insured riders and coaches are also available.
