A beautiful black barn in the countryside features an appealing layout.
Completed by Scotts of Thrapston, this barn was exactly what their client envisioned. The stable is a traditional bespoke timber design which Scotts has been known for over the past 100 years. Scotts works closely with their clients and offers assistance with everything from initial planning to design and construction.
Situated on a private property, the barn has six stalls, a tack room, feed storage and central walkthrough that also doubles as a wash area for the horses. Behind the stables, the property has a spacious outdoor arena, lush pastures and a hot walker.
The roof features lightweight steel shingles designed to match the client’s existing buildings on the property.
An enclosed yard offers a safe place to work with the horses and multiple options tacking up and grooming.
Behind the barn is a hot walker which matches the barn’s aesthetic.
The stalls have dutch doors on the front and back windows, allowing plenty of natural airflow.
The walkthrough leads to the arena and pastures, it’s a convenient place for a bath or grooming as well.
Thank you Scotts of Thrapston for sharing this project on Stable Style. Be sure to read the tour of this H-Shaped barn also completed by Scotts.
