Step inside an elegant barn with custom details throughout the space.
Situated in the charming town of Leipers Fork, just 45 minutes south of Nashville, Tennessee is Mandy and Terry’s dream barn for their two horses, Oliver and Anky. The custom designed barn features three stalls, two grooming stalls, a wash stall, hay storage and tack room. The timeless design is beautiful inside and out.

Mandy and Terry called upon American Stalls to provide many components in their barn, starting with the elegant exterior doors, providing a grand entrance into the barn. Curved glass tops allow sunlight to flow into the barn year round, even during cold winter months. The doors are one of Mandy’s favorite features – they look stunning, opened or closed. The team at American Stalls helped bring the couple’s vision to life with their accessories, clear communication and creativity.
The barn’s overhang is framed with beautiful stone and wood pillars, providing more cover from the weather and elements.
The Barn Interior
Inside, a spacious center aisle with rubber pavers provided by American Stalls offers a safe, non-slip surface for everyone to walk on. Warm and rich southern yellow pine encompasses the interior of the barn, which contrasts perfectly with the black metal accents.
Mandy selected European stall fronts with a low swoop design from American Stalls. These of course are another favorite barn feature. Each European stall front features heavy-duty grilled feed doors framed in 2″ square tubing to withstand the rigors of daily use, providing the convenience of feeding directly from the aisle.
The barn includes three stalls. Two of the stalls are 12′ x 12′ with a removable partition designed for foaling. This convenient partition allows the stalls to combine and become one 12′ x 24′ stall.
In the photo above, you can see the stall partition’s heavy-duty bullet hinges on the right. The two plunger latches are positioned on the left side of the stall partition. This design allows you to easily open and close the stall partition as needed. It’s perfect for foaling season or stall sharing.
Gooseneck lights between each stall add a touch of elegance.
The stunning chandelier and all of the lighting fixtures are from Amazon (similar chandelier here >).
On the other side of the barn is a third stall. This stall is an over-sized 16′ European stall front, creating a 16′ x12′ stall with plenty of room for larger horses or those who just enjoy a bit more space. Next to this stall is an open area for storage with matching stall wings. This design element aesthetically, pleasing and matching design to the barn.
Each stall includes heavy-duty interlocking rubber mats to provide horses with additional comfort. The stall door openings include Bedding Blockers to ensure shavings stay inside the stalls.
The hardware on the stall fronts features the Roosevelt collection from American Stalls.
Grooming Stalls
Custom stall partitions were built for the client’s grooming bays. Each partition includes lumber in-fill to match the existing horse stalls. They also feature four cross tie rings for added functionality.
Mandy competes at Arabian Horse Association shows on both horses and enjoys trail riding as well.
Thank you to American Stalls, Mandy and Terry for sharing your barn with us.
