At home horse keeping is a dream for most equestrians, making little barns more popular each year. Stable Style features barns of all sizes, but the small ones are secretly my favorite. Here are ten barns with four stalls or less, proving small-scale barns are not lacking in the design department.

3-Stall Barn: Fort Worth, Texas
Julie’s black and white barn renovation is an inspiration for anyone who loves a good before and after project.
2-Stall Barn: Bellevue, Washington
This private barn might be small, but it’s absolutely stunning. Mesh stall fronts offer plenty of ventilation and thoughtful design throughout makes it very functional.
4-Stall Barn: Coatesville, Pennsylvania
An elegant private barn looks impressive with a stone front and garden feature that can be seen from the house.
3-Stall Barn: Abbotsford, British Columbia
A masonry block barn maximizes space with this setup. The stalls are extra-large (12’x18′) and the barn has a wide center aisle.
4-Stall Barn: Kingston, Tennessee
Stacy’s white barn is a modern farmhouse delight on the exterior and thoughtfully designed on the interior.
2-Stall Barn: West Petaluma, California
This tiny two-stall barn is perfect for the retired horses who live here. Since the horses are retired, there is no need for a tack room. Christine’s barn was once a garage.
2-Stall Barn: Little Compton, Rhode Island
When Helena wanted to bring her horse home (and get a second horse), she turned her garage into a two-stall barn with the help of her husband.
4-Stall Barn: New South Wales, Australia
A cedar barn features black accents on the exterior, giving a modern touch to this wood barn.
2-Stall Barn: Connecticut
When DarkHorse needed more stalls, they turned a storage barn into a beautiful black and white barn for their new horses.
4-Stall Barn: Abbotsford, British Columbia
This traditional barn design is timeless. It has four stalls downstairs and an awesome lounge area upstairs made from reclaimed wood.
