Horse barns come in all shapes and sizes.
This horse property in Northvale, New Jersey has several stunning buildings situated on the land. One of its most unique buildings is the memorable round barn. Believe it or not, round barns are considered to be one of the most efficient barn styles. B&D Builders created this stunning structure, with design inspiration coming from 19th and 20th century octagon barns.
The intense design process took one and a half years, starting with a 3D model of the layout.
The eight-stall barn has plenty of benefits. It facilitates a social environment for the horses, allowing them to keep an eye on each other. The extremely high ceilings also allow for plenty of ventilation. There are dutch doors on the exterior and a large cupola in the center of the structure.
The skylights at the top also allow plenty of natural light to enter the space.
Here is a glimpse of the round barn’s interior.

B&D Builders also constructed a 40′ x 40′ connected barn with a tack room and grooming stalls (plus an additional 40′ x 40′ barn with more stalls. All of the structures are connected.
The spacious grooming stalls are located right next to the impressive indoor arena. There is ample storage for brushes and supplies. Rubber pavers are found throughout the barns, offering a safe, anti-slip surface.

The riding arena gets lots of natural light with an entire back wall of windows. To the left you can see a set of windows that open and close depending on the weather. The arena is 90′ x 200′.
